Get to Know DB

David Buchannon is the founder and head trainer of I Got Game Player Development, dedicated to helping athletes grow through discipline, faith, and mastery of the fundamentals.

Originally from Marion, Indiana, DB played collegiate basketball at both the Division I and Division II levels at Florida A&M University and Morehouse College. Over the past decade, he has committed his life to player development, working with athletes at every stage of their journey.

As a USA Basketball Gold Certified Coach, DB’s training philosophy is rooted in the details that matter most. Footwork and balance are the foundation of everything he teaches. From scoring and ball handling to movement and decision-making, DB emphasizes strong habits, intentional reps, and game-ready execution.

Beyond the court, DB believes in developing the whole athlete. His approach blends accountability, confidence, and character, helping players grow not only as basketball players, but as people.
